JUNE AND JULY, 2006 -  A Tribute to Our Military – Past and Present

a varied display of artifacts, photographs, and other memorabilia – all branches of service, men and women, all wars.

In a special tribute to our military personnel, the volunteers at the D.A. Varnado Store Museum will offer another interesting display of military memorabilia in an exhibit entitled, "A Tribute to Our Military – Past and Present".

The exhibit will include men and women military memorabilia, uniforms, weapons, photographs, documents, Vmail, medals, and more. There will be memorabilia from all wars, all military branches. Some collectors will display their items, and military personnel and their families are invited to provide items in their honor, adding a personal touch to the display. Special presentations are going to be scheduled throughout the two months of the exhibit. Dates are to be arranged.

The century-old general store/museum in Washington Parish once again offers an exciting and educational display of memorabilia for the month of April, "100 Years - 100 Photographs:  Life Along the Tracks to Our Community"
